By the time you read this, the spring Hollow-tining programme will be a thing of the past and hopefully, the course will recover quickly so that we can all enjoy our golf for the coming months

It is hollow-tining season, and we know it usually happens when the greens are playing their best, as has been the case over the past few weeks.

Last week I reminded you to get your entries in for the inaugural Member/Guest weekend. I also alluded to the fact that we are entering a very busy period at the Club, and unfortunately this week I have to inform everybody that the Member/Guest has been postponed.

August is Women’s Month and this week we celebrated Women’s Day. The day commemorates the passion and determination of our women who stood up against injustice and helped change history for the better.

The weather continues to play havoc on our winter golf plans, and the various leagues have not been spared. The Southern Cape Golf Union has had a busy season as decisions have had to be made almost at every event.
