Sundowners marked the start of summer on Friday, and with the arrival of October, another important mark on our calendar was reached. Yes, it is time to start planning your festive season rounds. As always, members will be afforded the opportunity to book tee times before we open them to the visitors, so don’t delay!

Last month I was fortunate to attend the Annual Club Managers Association conference in Stellenbosch and was extremely proud to witness our own General Manager, Sandra Lennox, receiving the top award for training participation which is awarded to the Club Manager who participates in the most training modules over the year in conjunction with their staff.

Due to the extreme weather conditions predicted for the weekend, we have decided to postpone the Heritage Pairs Cup to Saturday, 7th October and Sunday, 8th October. Your understanding is appreciated.

The group phase of the men’s Handicap league was done and dusted. And then it wasn’t! SGCU decided to reschedule the cancelled game at Pinnacle Point, which was rained out twice during the regular season. In some of the sections, there are various teams that may still qualify for the playoffs if they were able to play and win this last round.
